Dr. Peter Godfrey Obike is a renowned researcher and educator in Information and Communication Technology. His core area of interest is Computational and Artificial Intelligence. He was born in Sagamu, Ogun State, and hails from Amokai Ugwueke in Bende LGA of Abia State. He holds a First Class Honors BSc in Computer Science from Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (2012), an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Uyo (2021), and a PhD in Computational Intelligence from the University of Uyo (2025).

Aside his appointment in Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU), where he teaches Computer Programming (Python, Java, VB.NET), Data Structures, Machine theories and Automata Theory of Software Systems, he is the Principal Director of Ohub and PandZ Technologies—tech and research startups he founded in 2019 and 2024 respectively.

He is a co-author of a popular Python textbook for science and engineering students used in Abia Polytechnic and MOUAU. He currently serves as an academic
advisor (appointed in 2019) and heads the Research and Development Team of the Department of Computer Science in MOUAU (appointed in 2025).

His research expertise spans Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing for Actionable AI, and Software Engineering, with notable publications, conference presentations, and attendance at workshops in these areas. Key contributions include: An Automated Marking System using BERT and Logistic Regression – funded by Tetfund, Sprint Prioritisation using a novel Deliverability Scoring Model, A Software Effort Estimation Model using Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems, and Innovative Transport Management Solutions

Beyond academia, he contributes to industrial growth through IT consultancy, leveraging skills in web development and cloud technologies. His current work focuses on using computational intelligence and Natural Language Processing for intelligent systems.

He is a member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), Academia in Information Technology Professionals (AITP), and Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN). Peter is committed to advancing technology and education.

Married and blessed with kids, he is based in Uyo, he enjoys reading, traveling, and football. He is a minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, where he has also held leadership position in various units of the church.
